Overcoming the hurdles of hunger and poverty, it was his determination and hard work that established the company as a multi-brand digital hub in Kerala. How are products given visibility on Japan Square?

Search and Browse for a product

You can discover, and shop for products on Japan Square in multiple ways. You can enter a specific query into the search box; browse the selection by category from the navigation bar on the home page and discover products grouped by common attributes,

If you're choosing the search option to shop for a product then enter your keywords into the search box. By default, we will show you "Featured" results, which take into account a variety of factors including particularly, customer actions (such as how frequently an item was searched for, clicked on, added to cart or purchased) and information about the item (such as title, price, and description). We also consider factors such as availability, delivery speed, costs (such as shipping costs), and whether we think the item will be of interest (such as new items).

In addition to the default Featured sort, you can use these Sort Options to list your search results:

  • Featured shows featured items. We consider many factors when choosing featured results, such as:
    • Customer actions, e.g., how often an item was bought.
    • ○ Customer actions, e.g., how often an item was bought.
    • ○ Availability
    • ○ Delivery speed.
    • ○ Costs, e.g., shipping costs.

Sort Options

When you search for products on Japan Square, we want to help you easily find what you're looking for. You can use these options to list search results in a specific order:

  • Avg. Customer Review: Sorts items based on customers' reviews, including the average number of stars out of 5 stars given by customers and the number of customers' reviews for each result
  • Newest ArrivalsSorts items based on their first date of availability on Japan Square.
  • Price Low to High: Sorts items based on their price with the lowest priced item at the top and the highest-priced item at the bottom.
  • Price High to Low: Sorts items based on their price with the highest-priced item at the top and the lowest priced item at the bottom.

To browse a category:

  • 1. Select the Shop by category option on our homepage
  • 2. Select a product category. Each category will offer its own customized options to search and browse.

How do I add items to my cart?

Once you find the item you're looking for, click Add to Cart on any item's product details page. If you wish to add more than one item to your order, enter a new search term in the search box or click the Home tab to return to our home page.

How do I order items in my cart?

When you've finished adding items to your cart, click the cart icon found at the top of every page on our store. Click Proceed to Checkout to fill out the order form. You'll be asked to sign in. If you are an existing customer sign in with your user name and password.

If you don't have an account, under the question "Do you have an Account?" select No, I am a new customer. On the next page, you'll be prompted to create a new account.

Once you sign in, enter your delivery address and choose a shipping speed. You can then select your payment method and enter your details. Next, check the information you provided and make any necessary adjustments. When you're happy that everything is as you want it, click Place Your Order to submit your order.

What are the available shipping speeds?

For items from Japan Square, you will receive the order in either 2-4 Business Days or 5-10 Business Days based on the pin code of your delivery address.

The additional time to pack and dispatch the item is indicated by the message "Usually dispatched in 2 days."

We do not accept:

  • ● cheques or postal orders
  • ● demand drafts

How do I track my orders?

You can check the status of any order you've placed on the Your Account page. For orders that haven't yet entered the shipping phase, you'll be able to check the order total, delivery address, payment method, item availability and estimated delivery date. For orders that have been shipped, you see the date and delivery method, and an estimated date of delivery.

Proceed to Checkout

Once you have reviewed the items in your Shopping Cart, proceed to checkout to complete your order.

To proceed to checkout:

  • 1. Select Proceed to Checkout.
    Note: If you place an order for an item sold by Japan Square with a credit card, we will not charge you until the order enters the shipping process. If you place an order from one of our third-party sellers, the seller may charge your card at the time of purchase.
  • 2. If prompted, sign in to your account or create a new account if this is your first order.
  • 3. Enter a shipping address.
  • 4. Choose a shipping method.
    Note: If there is more than one item in your order, you will have the option to group your items into as few shipments as possible, or to ship items as they become available (at an additional cost).
  • 5. Enter your payment information
  • 6. Review your order details. Make sure that you have applied any gift cards or promotional codes that you want to use on your order.
  • 7. Select Place your order.

How do I pay for my purchase at Japan Square?

Japan Square offers you multiple payment methods. Whatever your online mode of payment is, we wish to assure you that our trusted Payment Gateway partners use secure encryption technology to keep your transaction details confidential at all times.

  • ● Net Banking (For all leading banks)
  • ● Cash on Delivery (Available on selected deals and products)

What is a 3D Secure password?

The 3D Secure password is implemented by VISA and MasterCard in partnership with card issuing banks under the "Verified by VISA" and "Mastercard SecureCode" services, respectively.

The 3D Secure password adds an additional layer of security through identity verification for your online credit/debit card transactions. This password, which is created by you, is known only to you. This ensures that only you can use your card for online purchases.

Are there any hidden costs (sales tax, octroi etc) on items sold on Japan Square?

There are NO hidden charges when you make a purchase on Japan Square. List prices are final and all-inclusive. The price you see on the product page is exactly what you would pay.

Delivery charges are not hidden charges and are charged (if at all) extra depending on the shipping policy.

What is Cash On Delivery (COD)?

With Cash on Delivery (COD), you can pay in cash at the time of product delivery at your doorstep. COD facility is available for most of the products on our site and is strictly a cash-only payment method for Indian Rupees. COD service is generally available for orders less than Rs. 50,000.

What are the delivery charges?

Delivery charge varies with each product and location.

You’ll likely have to bear higher shipping costs on low-value items. In such cases, charging a nominal delivery charge helps offset logistics costs. Please check your order summary to understand the delivery charges for individual products.

Why does the delivery date not correspond to the delivery timeline of X-Y business days?

It is possible that our courier partners may have a holiday between the day you’ve placed your order and the date of delivery, which is based on the timelines shown on the product page. In this case, we add a day to the estimated date. Some courier partners and Sellers do not work on Sundays and this is factored into the delivery dates.

What is the estimated delivery time?

Products are generally procured and shipped within the time specified on the product page. Business days exclude public holidays and Sundays.

Estimated delivery time depends on the following factors:

  • ● The Seller offering the product
  • ● Product availability
  • ● The destination to which you want the order to be shipped and the location of the store.

Why does the estimated delivery time vary?

You have probably noticed varying estimated delivery times for the product you are interested in. Delivery times are influenced by product availability, geographic location of the Seller, your shipping destination and the courier partner's time to deliver in your location.

Please enter your default pin code on the product page (you don't have to enter it every single time) to know more accurate delivery times on the product page itself.

The product cannot be ship to my area. Why?

Please enter your Pincode on the product page (you don't have to enter it every single time) to know whether the product can be delivered to your location.

If you haven't provided your Pincode until the checkout stage, the Pincode in your shipping address will be used to check for serviceability.

Whether your location can be serviced or not depends on

  • ● Legal restrictions, if any, in shipping particular products to your location
  • ● The availability of reliable courier partners in your location

Why is the CoD option not offered in my location?

Availability of CoD depends on the ability of our courier partner servicing your location to accept cash as payment at the time of delivery.

Our courier partners have limits on the cash amount payable on delivery depending on the destination and your order value might have exceeded this limit. Please enter your pin code on the product page to check if CoD is available in your location.

I need to return an item, how do I arrange for a pick-up?

Returns are easy. Contact Us to initiate a return. You will receive a call explaining the process, once you have initiated a return.

Wherever possible we will facilitate the pick-up of the item. In case, the pick-up cannot be arranged by us, you can return the item through a third-party courier service.

Does Japan Square deliver internationally?

As of now, Japan Square does not deliver items internationally.

You will be able to make your purchases on our site from anywhere in the world with credit/debit cards issued in India and 21 other countries, but please ensure the delivery address is in India.

You can cancel items or orders that you have placed by visiting the Your Orders section in Your Account.

To cancel orders that aren't dispatched yet:

  • 1. Go to Your Orders
  • 2. Select the item you want to cancel and click Cancel items
  • 3. Provide reasons for cancellation (optional)
  • 4. Click on Cancel Checked Items

Note: Your order will be cancelled instantly and a refund will be processed to your original payment method if the payment was already made.

To cancel an order that has already been dispatched:

  • 1. Go to Your Orders
  • 2. Select the Request cancellation option and proceed further
  • 3. The item(s) will be returned to us for a refund (if the payment is already made)

Note: In case you're still contacted for delivery, please refuse to accept it. Also, if your order is already delivered, you may consider returning it.

What do the different tags like "In Stock" mean?

'In Stock'

For items listed as "In Stock", Japan Square will mention the delivery time based on your Pincode of your location (usually 2-3 business days, 4-5 business days or 4-6 business days in areas where standard courier service is available). For other areas, orders will be sent by Registered Post through the Indian Postal Service which may take 1-2 weeks depending on the location.

'Out of Stock'

This indicates that the item is not available for sale currently. Use the 'Notify Me' feature to know once it is available for purchase.


The ‘Limited’ label is used to represent the availability of a product and also indicates that the items are low in stock. It can be used specifically for one-of-a-kind or limited-edition products.

Most items purchased from Japan Square listed are returnable within the return window, except those that are explicitly identified as not returnable.

For the products that are returned by the customer, the refund is issued to the original payment method (in case of pre-paid transactions) or to the bank account / through NEFT (in case of Pay on Delivery orders).

General Returns Policy

  • 1. Products are returnable within the applicable return window if you’ve received them in a condition that is physically damaged, has missing parts or accessories, is defective or different from their description on the product detail page on Japan Square.
  • 2. If you report an issue with your device, we may schedule a technician visit to your location. Subject to the Terms and Conditions of Japan Square, a resolution will be provided based on the evaluation report.
  • 3. Return will be processed only if:
    • ○ it is determined that the product was not damaged while in your possession;
    • ○ the product is not different from what was shipped to you;
    • ○ the product is returned in original condition (with brand’s/manufacturer's box, MRP tag intact, user manual, warranty card and all the accessories therein).
  • 4. If you wish to return an electronic device that stores any personal information, please ensure that you have removed all such personal information from the device prior to returning. Japan Square shall not be liable in any manner for any misuse or usage of such information.
  • 5. Products marked as "non-returnable" on the product detail page cannot be returned.
  • 6. Additional information is not required to return an eligible order unless otherwise noted.
  • 7. Products may be eligible for replacement only if the exact same item is in stock.
  • 8. If the replacement request is placed and we do not have the exact same product in stock, we will provide a refund.

Note: If you've received a non-returnable product in a damaged/defective condition, you can contact us within 10 days from the delivery of the product.
